Liposuction
What is liposuction?
Liposuction is used to remove fat from various areas of the body that have not responded to diet and exercise, such as:
- Abdomen
- Upper arm areas
- Buttocks
- Calf and ankle
- Chest and back
- Buttocks and thighs
- Chin and neck (double chin)
- Additionally, liposuction can sometimes be used to reduce breasts or treat gynecomastia.
When you gain weight, your body's fat cells increase in size and volume. In the localized slimming method, liposuction reduces the number of fat cells in a specific area. Of course, the amount of fat removed also depends on the appearance of the area and its fat volume.
Possible complications after surgery
- Allergy to lidocaine or epinephrine (anesthetics)
- Loose skin
- Mild pain in the incision area
- Sensitivity in the operated area
- Mild bleeding
- Discharge from the incision area
