According to the World Tourism Organization, one of the goals that can motivate a tourist to travel is health travel. In this way, a tourist can use the medical services of the destination by traveling from his permanent place of residence to achieve his physical and mental health; something that is called medical tourism or health tourism.

International Patients Unit (IPD): It is a unit in the hospital whose task is to create the necessary coordination in providing all diagnostic and treatment services to foreign patients and patients with special services. A solution that has been thought of in other successful countries in the field of health tourism is to establish and launch an International Patient Admission Department (IPD) in the hospital, which has been accepted and approved as a suitable solution at the international level. In addition, the Health Tourism Department of the Ministry of Health has required all centers providing medical services since the beginning of 2014 to establish an International Patient Admission Department (IPD) in their medical center if they accept foreign patients.

In fact, IPD (International Patient Department) provides communication between medical centers and foreign patients from the first contact to receiving treatment and discharge, and receiving post-operative care.

In addition to the high level of medical services, Iran's historical and natural attractions encourage foreign patients to have a peaceful recovery period in Iran. The city of Mashhad, as an important part of Iranian history and culture and the presence of the Imam Reza Shrine, has attractive examples of these sights in its heart.

We hope that the performance of the IPD team in this center will be the foundation of a new mechanism worthy of the dignity and prestige of our beloved country.
